Information you choose to provide

If you subscribe to Fenton Brief, we collect the email address you enter and a record of the consent wording version shown at signup. Buttondown is the subscriber list. A confirmation email is sent before you are added to the sending list. Unsubscribe from any issue, or write to hello@fenton.markets.

General correspondence sent to hello@fenton.markets is handled as business email. Do not send passwords, private keys or seed phrases. See the contact page.

Information processed automatically

Cloudflare may process ordinary request information such as IP address, device or browser details, requested URL, timestamps and security signals to deliver and protect the service. Newsletter signup uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated abuse. The theme control stores your light, dark or system preference in your browser.

Article illustrations are loaded from Sanity’s image delivery service. Your browser connects to that service to retrieve the images. Following a source link takes you to an external website with its own privacy practices.

This application does not currently include an audience analytics SDK, advertising tracker, wallet connection or public account system.

How information is used

  • Deliver requested pages and protect the service from abuse.
  • Send Fenton Brief after you confirm ownership of the address.
  • Load article illustrations and remember your chosen appearance.

We do not add email addresses to analytics events. Optional open and click tracking in the newsletter is left off for this release.

Services and international processing

Material processors: Cloudflare (hosting, security and Turnstile), Sanity (content and images), and Buttondown (newsletter subscription, confirmation and sending). Those services may process data outside your country. Read their privacy notices on their sites.

Retention and choices

Subscriber records, confirmation history and suppression (for example unsubscribes and complaints) stay with Buttondown for as long as needed to send the newsletter and honor opt-outs. You can remove the saved appearance preference by clearing this site’s browser storage. Privacy requests: hello@fenton.markets.

Children and security

Fenton Research is not directed to children. No website can promise absolute security; Fenton limits access, uses server-only credentials and does not request secrets such as wallet seed phrases or private keys.
